Coalition seeks low-cost PV modules

The Utility PhotoVoltaic Group (UPVG) and the New York Power Authority (NYPA) are seeking participants to share in a commitment to purchase photovoltaic (PV) modules from a manufacturing plant to be built in New York. From coast to coast regulated electric utilities are complaining that the cost of buying power from non-utility power producers is excessive. New York State Electric & Gas Corp.
