Jaquelin Cochran is a Senior Energy Analyst with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where she analyzes policies and market designs that create an enabling framework for emerging energy technologies (renewable energy, demand response, distributed generation). Dr. Cochran has published on many topics related to integration of renewable electricity, including policy best practices, coal cycling, curtailment, variability analysis, integration studies, system flexibility, and market designs. Dr. Cochran also recently led an analysis on business opportunities that build from synergies between natural gas and renewable energy. Prior to NREL, Dr. Cochran was an Assistant Professor of Natural Resource Management with KIMEP University in Almaty. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer for two years with the Polish Foundation for Energy Efficiency (FEWE) in Krakow. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the Energy & Resources Group at the University of California at Berkeley.
