Iain Miller joined the company as a graduate trainee in 1975 with the Construction Division of Babcock & Wilcox Ltd. He participated in the execution of major projects at Peterhead and Drax, followed by a spell in the maintenance sector in NE England. In 1990, he returned to the Renfrew HQ and became Sales Director on the board of Babcock Construction Ltd, becoming Construction Director of Mitsui Babcock Energy Services Ltd in 1994 and Director & General Manager in 1996. In 1998, Iain became MD Services & Technology, responsible for all Renfrew based businesses – and an Executive Director on the main board of Mitsui Babcock. In 1999, he was appointed MD – UK Operations, MD – Europe in 2001, Chief Operating Officer in February 2004 and Chief Executive Officer of Doosan Babcock in December 2006 upon the acquisition of the company by Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction of South Korea. Following the acquisition of Škoda Power of Czech Republic by Doosan Heavy Industries in late 2009, Iain was appointed CEO of Doosan Power Systems and Chairman of Škoda Power in January 2010.
