Douglas Friedel is a specialist in the application of Distributed Generation technologies, particularly Combined Heat and Power systems and Microgrids. He is an Iowa State University Graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Doug is a career specialist in utilities design for industry and campus environments such as central utility plants, distributed energy systems, standby power generation and local power distribution.
As Project Director for Distributed Generation within the Power business for Black & Veatch Doug has responsibility for the Project Management team. In his current role he coordinates the execution of Distributed Generation projects including CHP, Standby Generation and Microgrids deploying multiple technologies to serve Client’s needs.
