Kiewit partnering with ITI to talk about plant project in upcoming webcast

Kiewit is a global construction and engineering organizations, known for massive building projects. Its energy resume includes combined cycle gas-fired plants, solar PV, nuclear, T&D and substations.

It recently partnered with ITI on plant modeling work. Kiewit’s Kurt Johnson, the CAD applications lead, will partner with ITI UK Managing Director Andy Chinn for an upcoming webcast detailing their work.

Power Engineering will present the webcast, “Simplifying Large Models for Plant and Process Design, Featuring Kiewit,” beginning 10 a.m. ET Wednesday, April 24.

The webcast is free to the public and will last about an hour. You can click here to register for the event. It is sponsored by ITI.

The U.S. infrastructure needs are only going to grow in the near future. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, in its 2017 report card, cited an estimated investment gap for $177 billion needed for energy projects through 2025.

This webcast is for plant design and process engineers. Users of Autodesk, Aveva, Bentley, CADISON. ESApro and Intergraph process engineering technology will learn how to save days of non-productive geometry handling, increase efficiency, decrease time-to-market and get to commissioning faster by employing automated CAD model simplification processes.

Rod Walton, Power Engineering and POWERGEN International content director, will be the moderator. There will be a Q&A opportunity for participants right after the presentations by Kiewit and ITI.
