Sulzer to exhibit industrial plant AR, VR at Chinese show

Power plant pump and maintenance firm Sulzer announced it will exhibit some of its applications for separation technology at the AchemAsia 2019 conference next month in China.

Sulzer’s Chemtech unit  will exhibit its mass transfer solutions and show advanced augmented reality and virtual reality experiences which give participants a closer look at the equipment and how it integrates into industrial plants.

The theme of the AchemAsia event is sustainable chemical production in China. One example of Sulzer Chemtech’s separation and mixing expertise can be applied to bioethanol production.

By using tablets with Sulzer Chemtech AR app, visitors will be able to interact with 3D models of facilities, where they will see how Sulzer’s equipment fits into large-scale processing plants as well as accessing relevant information on the products, in the form of text, videos and pictures.

AchemAsia 2019 is taking place May 21-23 in Shanghai.

Sulzer provides pumps for use in coal, nuclear and renewable power generation. It also offers maintenance and repair services for turbines, pumps and generators.
