Extreme weather is becoming the norm rather than the exception and utilities are forced to prepare for the worst case scenario.
The theme of this week’s DISTRIBUTECH+ series is Distribution Automation and Outage Management. The events happening Wednesday and Thursday will feature utilities such as Idaho Power Co., Peninsula Light, Exelon and Alliant Energy, among others.
Service companies which are working with the utilities and featured as presenters will include G&W Electric, Black & Veatch, Survalent, Sensus, ABB, DroneDeploy and more. The May series of DISTRIBUTECH+ online begins with a keynote 11 a.m. ET Wednesday featuring Pat Avery, vice president of power grid automation at G&W Electric.
Sponsored and editorial sessions will run from that morning through Thursday afternoon. Click here to see the full DISTRIBUTECH+ schedule.
The online series is free and on demand for months after the live event.
