Neundorfer wins emissions control contract from NRG Energy

18 June 2009 — Neundorfer Inc. has been selected by NRG Energy to provide a flue gas conditioning system at the company’s Indian River Power Plant in Delaware. The system will help optimize electrostatic precipitator performance by modifying fly ash resistivity.

The system uses the direct burn of granular sulfur as a feedstock. Other technologies that will be incorporated in the new system are remote converters and an automatic optimization algorithm. The system will allow NRG Energy to optimize precipitator performance over a range of fuels.
