Foster Wheeler purchases Siemens emissions control company

Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq: FWLT) said that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group finalized the acquisition of the Siemens (NYSE: SI) Environmental Systems and Services business. The deal closed April 30.

The purchase of the Siemens Environmental Systems and Services includes assets of the former Wheelabrator Air Pollution Control Co. in Pittsburgh and the Advanced Burner Technology Co. in Branchburg, New Jersey. Foster Wheeler is in the process of integrating the assets into the global environmental and industrial product offerings of its Global Power Group, including design, engineering, retrofit and service of a range of clean air technologies for power plants.
