Fluor to retrofit AEP coal-fired power plant in Oklahoma

Fluor Corp. (NYSE: FLR) was contracted to provide emissions control retrofits at American Electric Power (AEP, NYSE: AEP)’s Northeastern power station in Oklahoma.

The project includes adding a pulse jet fabric filter, activated carbon and dry sorbent injection systems for Unit 3 at the Northeastern plant to control emissions of particulates, mercury, sulfur dioxide and acid gasses. Fluor will be responsible for the demolition, installation and erection of the above-ground mechanical and structural systems and components, along with other engineering and procurement services.
