PSEG to build $150 million power plant

1 February 2008 — PSEG Power plans to build a $150 million power plant next to an existing generating station. The new plant is the first step in a planned expansion of the company’s fleet of power plants. PSEG Power, a unit of Newark-based Public Service Enterprise Group intends to add up to 1,000 MW of gas-fired generating capacity to help meet peak demand. The new 138 MW natural gas-fired plant is expected to provide electricity in 2010.
