Coal Plant Accident Kills 2, Injures 4

An accident at Bruce Mansfield Power Station in Shippingport, Pennsylvania killed two workers and injured four others, the Pittsburg Tribune-Review reported.

Pennsylvania police said a pipe in an underground pit ruptured and filled the pit with sludge. Four workers standing over the pit were exposed to toxic gas.

The two killed workers were employed by Enerfab Corp.

The 2,460-MW Bruce Mansfield Power Station is operated by FirstEnergy.
