General Electric has named a new president and CEO of the company’s Power Conversion business.
Stephan Reimelt succeeds Joe Mastrangelo, who moves to GE Power & Water.
GE’s Power Conversion business designs technologies for clean energy generation.
Based in Paris, Reimelt will oversee global operations and the continued expansion of Power Conversion, which operates in 160 locations across the globe and employees more than 7,000 people.
With the recent Alstom acquisition, GE’s Power Conversion division is expected to become a $13 billion business.
Reimelt has previously held positions at MAN Ferrostaal AG, Lurgi AG and his own mid-sized technology company.
