Public Service Co. of New Mexico has deployed new cybersecurity software to protect its infrastructure operations.
PNM, the largest utility in New Mexico, has partnered with AlertEnterprise on the deployment. The new system deploys a single unified interface allowing central management of logical and critical infrastructure operations.
The previous PNM cybersecurity platform was manual, siloed and inefficient, according to the company. The new system allows automated audit and compliance reporting to meet CIP-004 standards.
“The software’s ability to manage convergence across physical, logical and OT environments is a true business enabler and aligns with our vision for digital transformation,” Gary Todd, associated director of cybersecurity for PNM Resources, said in a statement.
The platform offers a web-based portal to request access to job roles, applications, physical access and other systems including critical infrastructure protocol (CIP).
PNM provides electricity to more than 500,000 customers throughout the state.
