If you’re looking to engage in a true marketplace of ideas for the power generation sector in all its forms, then POWERGEN International 2019 is the right place for you.
The call for abstracts is still open for another week. POWERGEN is seeking the best and the brightest presentations for inclusion in the 2019 conference and exhibition scheduled November 19-21 in New Orleans.
We want those ideas on stage at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Here are the general aspects of what we’re seeking: What works, what might, lessons learned and big dreams for the future of coal-fired, gas-fired, solar, wind, nuclear, biomass, infrastructure and mobile generation.
The specifics are awe-inspiring in their multi-faceted glory: peaking units, baseload power, renewables integration, energy storage, microgrids, data analytics, digital twins, emissions reduction, plant operations and maintenance, flexible-gensets, regulatory challenges, financing and flue gas treatment.
And that’s not even a fifth of the potential topics for presentation out there. POWERGEN does boil down, but is not limited to, nine conference topics: gas-fired turbines and plants, optimizing plant performance, onsite power, renewables, energy storage breakthroughs, money and rules, digital transformation, microgrids and the future of coal-fired generation.
The selection process also includes entries for the POWERGEN University (PGU) on Monday, November 18. PGU offers four-hour and eight-hour courses with deeper dives into industry topics and opportunity for continuing education.
