Anheuser-Busch Purchases Majority of Power at 298-MW Wind Farm

Anheuser-Busch InBev will purchase a majority of the wind power produced from a 298-MW wind facility in development in Oklahoma, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

The purchase, which includes energy delivered to the grid and renewable energy credits, totals 152.5 MW. Anheuser-Busch has said it plans to source 100 percent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2025.

The power purchase agreement goes into effect when Thunder Ranch, spread out over Garfield, Kay and Noble counties, comes online by the end of this year.

Enel Green Power North America began construction on Thunder Ranch in May, and expects to spend $435 million on its development.
