Campbell Soup Company announced BNB Renewable Energy Holdings has broken ground on a 4.4-MW solar power project at the company’s headquarters in Camden, New Jersey.
Campbell holds a 20-year power purchase agreement with the project, which is scheduled to come online this fall and become the largest solar array in Camden.
The development will feature SunPower’s rooftop, carport and ground-mount solar equipment, with 2.7 MW on the rooftops of existing structures and on new solar canopies, and an additional 1.7 MW on 4.5 acres of nearby land.
Campbell and BNB have now collaborated on three solar projects, including a 9.8-MW system at Campbell’s Napoleon, Ohio facility and a 1-MW system at the Pepperidge Farm bakery in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
