Texas Electric Cooperatives and Advanced Microgrid Solutions have announced a partnership to encourage the use of AMS services to member cooperatives.
As part of the agreement, AMS will design, install and operate a 200 kWh energy storage system at TEC’s Georgetown Master Distribution Center, which supports its 75 member cooperatives across the state and serves as a classroom and training facility.
Additionally, AMS will offer preferred pricing for storage systems and services to member cooperatives.
“Battery storage represents the next step in optimizing our use of renewable energy,” said Johnny Andrews, TEC Manufacturing & Distribution Services COO. “We are excited to provide this technology to our members and to showcase how battery storage can maximize the efficiency of their electric grid.
