The Minnesota Municipal Power Agency has proposed to build, own and operate a new gas-fired power plant in Carver County, Minnesota.
The plan, now up for public comment via the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, indicates the new plant would be called the Chaska Energy Park Facility.
The agency indicates the facility would be built on two acres and consist of five natural gas-fired units that could produce up to 50 MW of electricity.
Once construction begins, Chaska Energy Park Facility should be complete in 12 months.
