Concord Engineering Awarded Contract for PSEG Keys Energy Center

PSEG Solar Source Acquires Solar Project from Ecoplexus

PSEG Power has chosen Concord Engineering as owner’s engineer for the 755-MW PSEG Keys Energy Center.

Picked for its engineering staff and success with previous PSEG projects, Concord will be onsite throughout construction and start-up.

“We are thrilled to support PSEG Power in their engineering needs as they continue their commitment to clean energy and regional economic growth,” said Kevin Best, Concord’s project manager.

The natural gas-fired, combined-cycle plant in Prince George’s County, Maryland — expected to cost between $825 million and $875 million — is scheduled for completion in May 2018.

PSEG will oversee construction, operations and maintenance of the plant’s two gas-fired turbines and steam turbine.

The PSEG Keys Energy Center is expected to produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of 500,000 homes, supplying the PJM region through Potomac Electric Power Company’s (PEPCO) 500-kV transmission system.
