US Department of Commerce Helps POWER-GEN 2015 US Exhibitors Go Global

At POWER-GEN International 2015, the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) is ready to assist you in your export and partnering efforts.

Ninety-five percent of the world’s potential consumers live outside the United States. As a result, more U.S. companies are looking to increase their sales with help from the DOC and other federal agencies.

Through the USCS’s International Buyer Program (IBP), a number of export assistance services are offered at POWER-GEN International to assist international attendees and U.S. exhibitors in making connections and developing export partnerships that lead to export sales.   Behind every U.S. export is a job and a family.  That’s why the DOC supports U.S. domestic trade shows like POWER-GEN International.

IBP Export Programs at POWER-GEN International

The USCS and the State Department’s overseas offices, which are located at U.S. embassies and consulates across the world, have worked to recruit and bring to POWER-GEN International three overseas buyer delegations, organizing their plans for doing business at the show. Official IBP delegations from all over the world—including Algeria, Angola, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cote d’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, EU Mission, Ghana, Iceland, India, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Mexico, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, South Korea, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam—have been recruited to attend POWER-GEN International 2015.

Trade professionals from the DOC and State Department will manage the International Business Center (IBC), located in the North Hall area, in meeting room N253.  The IBC is an area where international buyers may negotiate with U.S. sellers, obtain advice on appropriate matches, and depart from to walk the exhibit floor.  The facility will also provide refreshments and free wi-fi.  U.S. Exhibitors and attendees may visit the IBC for export counseling from the DOC, State Department, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, U.S. Agency for International Development and U.S. Trade and Development Agency.
