Siemens (NYSE: SI) will provide 100 MW of onshore wind turbines to a project in Australia.

Siemens and Neoen Australia signed a 250 million Australian dollars ($183.6 million) contract for the Hornsdale Wind Farm located in Australia. It will use 32 SWT-3.2-113 direct drive turbines and includes a long-term service contract. The project will supply its output to the Australian Capital Territory under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

Construction will begin immediately, and Siemens will provide the turnkey project solution and will maintain the wind farm under a long-term contract.
