The second generating unit at the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in India is set to begin operations soon.
The 1,000-MW reactor is set to come online within six months, according to The Hindu Business Line. It was developed in cooperation with Russia’s Rosatom. The first 1,000-MW unit reached full capacity in June 2014. There are plans for two more reactors at the plant.
