Siemens to maintain California natural gas-fired power plant

Siemens (NYSE: SI) was awarded a long-term service agreement for the 507-MW Blythe Energy Center, a natural gas-fired power plant in California.
Siemens will cover scheduled maintenance activities, program management, spare parts, power diagnostics and performance monitoring for the two Siemens SGT6-4000F gas turbines for the next 25 years.
The Blythe Energy Center is a combined-cycle power plant that uses exhaust from the two Siemens gas turbines to power the heat recovery steam generators, which in turn creates steam that flows to the turbine generator.
