HydroVision Russia 2015 keynote address to include World Energy Council, Russian Federation involvement

The organizers of HydroVision Russia and POWER-GEN Russia are pleased to announce the support of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Energy and other industry leaders, making the upcoming conference and exhibition an important event for all those working Russia’s energy market.

The three-day event kicks off Tuesday, March 3 with a special joint HydroVision Russia and POWER-GEN Russia keynote session that will feature Marie-Jose Nadeau, Chair of the World Energy Council and Executive Vice President at Hydro-Quebec, alongside Russia’s First Deputy Minister of Energy, Alexey Teksler, and others.

Nadeau will discuss the WEC’s recently released World Energy Trilemma report, which examines energy security, environmental sustainability and energy equity. The study is the world’s most comprehensive ranking of countries’ energy policies, and helps identify both areas of success and improvement.

Meanwhile, Teksler and other high-ranking officials from Russia will examine a number of issues important to hydroelectric power and other energy producers operating in the Russian power sector.

Also included on the keynote agenda are:

  • Sergey Shmatko, Special Representative for International Cooperation Issues in the Electric Power Sector for the Russian Federation and Chair of Rosseti JSC
  • Boris Vainzikher, General Director, IES CJSC
  • Valery Murgulets, Head of Innovations, Investments and Costs Unit, Inter RAO JSC

HydroVision Russia 2015 takes place March 3-5 in Moscow.
