Mexico to invest $14Bn for 2,300 MW of wind power

Mexico will invest $14 billion to build eight wind farms over the next three years, with a combined generation capacity of 2,300-MW.

The investment will come on the back of the $5 billion already injected into the wind energy sector, according to Business News Americas.

Mexico currently has 2,551-MW of installed wind capacity and will add 732-MW this year, with six wind farms under construction, according to the country’s wind energy association, Amdee.
