CB&I (NYSE: CBI) has been awarded a contract by Calpine Corp. subsidiary, Calpine Mid-Merit, LLC, for the initial development phase of a combined-cycle gas turbine power station in Peach Bottom Township, Pennsylvania.
“CB&I has a legacy of successful combined-cycle gas turbine projects and is proud to partner with Calpine on this important project,” said Patrick Mullen, president of CB&I’s Engineering, Construction and Maintenance operating group. “We look forward to helping Calpine meet the growth in energy demand with new clean, affordable and reliable power generation.”
The facility will be built adjacent to the existing York Energy Center.
