Gamesa sells 74 MW Mexico wind farm

Gamesa turned over ownership of a 74-MW wind farm in Mexico to Grupo México.

The wind farm uses 37 Gamesa G80-2.0 MW turbines and was developed and built by Gamesa. The wind plant was commissioned in the first quarter of 2014. Under terms of the sale agreement, Gamesa will continue to operate and maintain the wind farm for the next five years.

Gamesa has developed, built and commissioned more than 244 MW in Mexico with another 70 MW under construction. The company has also installed almost 1,360 MW of its turbines and maintains more than 1,000 MW.
