Areva introduced a new nuclear training simulator designed to develop reflexes and best habits while operating within glove boxes.
SIBAG is designed to enable operators to improve skills and behavior in real-time and control the actions of an avatar directly using a touch screen. Operators follow a training program spread out over 18 missions, each reflecting a different work scenario.
About 1,000 operators will be trained each year, and training has already started at the Areva Melox plant in France.
