AEP subsidiary files RFP for 250 MW, short term capacity

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), a subsidiary of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), has filed a Request for Proposals (RFP) for up to 250-MW of peaking capacity and associated energy for up to five years, beginning June 1, 2016.

PSO serves more than 540,000 customers throughout Oklahoma and has a portfolio of 4,274-MW of generating capacity.
