GE (NYSE: GE) will supply a gas turbine for a combined heat & power (CHP) plant in Russia.
GE received the order from TGK-16, an independent heat and electricity provider owned by Tatar-American Investment and Finance for a GE 9HA air-cooled power generation system. The system will replace existing gas-fired boilers and increase the plant’s output from 420-MW to 808-MW.
GE will manufacture and assemble the equipment for the system at production facilities in France, Turkey and the USA. Commissioning is scheduled for early 2017.
