California ISO names new advisory committee chair

PacifiCorp considers joining California ISO

The California Independent System Operator Corporation (ISO) Board of Governors has announced that Rebecca Wagner will serve as the chair the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) advisory committee.

Wagner was elected as chair by the 11-member transitional committee. She also serves as the Public Utilities of Nevada commissioner.

The ISO EIM allows non-ISO power entities to participate in buying or selling energy.

The market will open on October 1 with its first participant, Portland-based PacifiCorp.
