CB&I names Taff as Exec. VP & CFO

CB&I (NYSE: CBI) was awarded a $500 million contract by Indianapolis Power & Light for the engineering, procurement and construction of a natural gas-fired power plant in Indiana.

The 671-MW combined-cycle unit will be built adjacent to the existing Eagle Valley coal-fired power plant. The company said in May 2013 that it plans to close six units at Eagle Valley due to the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS).
