Weekly Coal Production

For the week ended June 07, 2014:

  1. U.S. coal production totaled approximately 18.6 million short tons (mmst)
  2. This production estimate is 3.0% lower than last week’s estimate and 1.4% higher than the production estimate in the comparable week in 2013
  3. Coal production east of the Mississippi River totaled 8.1 mmst
  4. Coal production west of the Mississippi River totaled 10.5 mmst
  5. U.S. year-to-date coal production totaled 426.4 mmst, 0.2% lower than the comparable year-to-date coal production in 2013
