Six workers injured at India’s Kudankulam nuclear power plant

Six workers were reportedly injured when hot water spilled on them at the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project in India.

According to IANS, the workers were carrying out maintenance work on a pipeline when the hot water spilled on them. The site director was quoted as saying the workers have been admitted to the hospital.

India’s Atomic Energy Regulatory Board cleared Unit 1 to run at its full capacity of 1,000-MW earlier in May. Another 1,000-MW unit is in the works at the plant.
