Areva was awarded a contract to supply and replace six stators for units 3 and 4 at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power’s Kori Nuclear power plant.
Areva will design and manufacture the six stators in its facility located in northern France. Delivery and replacements are expected to begin in June 2015 and be completed in 2018. The stators help insure the reliability of the reactor coolant pump.
The contract is part of the “Forward Alliance” program that offers Areva products and solutions to support utilities in optimizing the long-term safety of their plants.
