EDF Canada unit works out economic deal over wind power project

EDF EN Canada and the Huron-Wendat Nation signed an agreement that establishes a framework for the two groups to ensure economic benefits through a wind power project in Quebec.

The agreement centers on the 350-MW Riviere-du-Moulin wind project. The project will use a total of 175 wind turbines. The 150-MW first phase will be commissioned in December 2014, followed by a 200-MW second phase in December 2015.
