ERCOT drops electricity conservation alert

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) canceled a Conservation Alert that was in effect from Feb. 6-7.

Peak electric demand on Feb. 6 was 56,673 MW and 54,156 MW the following day, compared to the 57,277 MW preliminary winter record set the morning of Jan. 7.

ERCOT also dropped a notice of possible rotating outages in the Valley region.
