Parsons Brinckerhoff announces role changes for US hydropower operations

Parsons Brinckerhoff, an infrastructure developer and operator has named Dr. Matthew Chan assistant vice president and west hydropower operations manager for the western U.S region.

Chan’s role will oversee hydropower operations and manage water resource clients.

Previously, Chan served as business development manager with the company’s East Hydropower Group. He has 18 years of industry experience, including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensing

Among the responsibilities of the Western Hydropower Group are conducting studies, licensing and compliance work, and sustainability services for hydropower, dam and water resource projects.

Chan received his doctorate in fisheries science from Virginia Tech, an M.B.A. from Franklin Pierce University, an M.S. in biology from Ole Miss, and a B.A. from Wittenberg University.
