Bechtel makes several leadership changes

Bechtel announced several leadership changes in the company.

Bill Dudley, who served as president and chief operating officer since 2008, was named president and CEO of Bechtel. He will replace Riley Bechtel, who is stepping down for health reasons, but will remain chairman of the board of directors. Bechtel had been chairman and CEO of the company for 25 years.

In other personnel moves, Jack Futcher, current president of the Oil, Gas & Chemicals unit, was named an executive vice president and sponsor of the Oil, Gas & Chemicals and Mining & Metals units.

Brendan Bechtel, son of Riley Bechtel, will succeed Futcher as president of the Oil, Gas & Chemicals unit. Brendan previously was the general manager of the liquefied natural gas business.

Alasdair Cathcart will take over Brendan Bechtel’s position as general manager of the LNG unit. Cathcart has held multiple positions in the company.

All of the positions are effective immediately.
