Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E, NYSE: PCG) announced Wednesday that its 15 million customers experienced the fewest minutes without electricity in company history in 2013.
According to a statement from the company, customers not only had the fewest service interruptions in company history, but the average duration of a service interruption for a PG&E customer fell to an all-time low as well. The average PG&E customer was without power for 117 minutes and experienced 1.07 power interruptions in 2013, an improvement from 196 minutes and 1.46 in 2006.
Executive Vice President of Electric Operations Geisha Williams stated the company has done significant work to upgrade and modernize facilities through its service areas.
