AREVA TN signed a support services agreement with Waste Control Specialists LLC that will provide U.S. nuclear utility customers with more options for the safe disposal of low-level radioactive waste.

WSC operates a facility in Texas and will use AREVA TN’s Cask PLUS package of services to store, process and dispose of certain radioactive materials from the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant’s spent fuel pool in Vermont. The services include the handling and processing of non-fuel, irradiated waste for U.S. nuclear power plants.
