Canadian Solar unit to sell four solar power projects in Ontario

Canadian Solar to sell five utility-scale solar power projects Concord Green Energy Concord Pacific Ontario Canada

Canadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ) announced that its subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., entered into a sales agreement to sell four utility-scale power plants in Ontario to a fund managed by DIF. The projects total 40 MW AC in capacity. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

As part of the agreement, the four solar projects, including the BeamLight in Georgina; Gold Light in Pefferlaw; Illumination in Scugog and Glenarm in Kawartha Lakes; are expected to begin construction in 2013 and 2014. Commercial operation is expected in 2014. The four projects will use approximately 190,000 Canadian Solar CS6X high-performance modules.
