Unit 1 of the Bilibino nuclear power plant in Russia automatically shut down Nov. 5, according to RIA Novosti.

The safety system automatically shut down the unit, though the reason behind the shutdown is unclear, the article said. Radiation levels in the 19-mile zone are within the normal background range. Unit 3 is currently down for repairs, and units 2 and 4 are running normally.
