Pattern Energy (Nasdaq: PEGI, TSX: PEG) said it reached the halfway point of construction at the 270 MW South Kent wind energy project in Ontario, and erected the first wind turbine at the El Arrayan wind project in Chile.
South Kent currently has 50 turbines erected at the site in Chathan-Kent, and is expected to be completed in April of 2014. The 115 MW El Arrayan is scheduled to reach operations in June 2014.
Pattern has a portfolio of eight wind power projects with a total owned capacity of 1,041 MW in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
