Wind power project in Quebec completed

Xcel Energy proposes 150 MW Border Winds Project North Dakota RES America Development

EDF EN Canada Inc. said that the second phase of the 150 MW Lac-Alfred Wind Project in Quebec began commercial operations.

The project was built in two, 150 MW phases, each using 150 wind turbines supplied by REpower. The first phase was commissioned in January 2013.

Hydro-Quebec will buy the power under 20-year power purchase agreements. Enbridge (TSX, NYSE: ENB) is a co-owner of the 300 MW wind project with EDF EN Canada.
