Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) said its modules would be used for a 600 kW solar project in the Leeward Islands in the West Indies.
Comet Solar, an Anguilla-based solar installation company, selected Canadian Solar for the installation. It’s the largest commercial project permitted by the St. Kitts & Nevis government to date. Comet Solar was contracted by S.L. Horsford.
The installation will span eight different buildings and various businesses, including supermarkets, which have a high refrigeration load. Construction has already started.
