Enel Green Power North America Inc. announced it has increased its ownership in two wind power projects, raising its ownership to 75 percent in each. The total cost of the two deals is around $81 million.
EGP-NA signed an agreement with GE Capital subsidiaries to purchase an additional 26 percent of the Class A interests in both Chisholm View Wind Project LLC , the company operating the 235 MW Chisholm View wind farm in Oklahoma, and Prairie Rose Wind Project LLC, the company operating the 200 MW Prairie Rose wind farm in Minnesota. The deal for Chisholm View is around $47 million, and the deal for Prairie Rose is around $34 million.
The original agreement between EGP-NA and the two subsidiaries provided for the option to purchase additional interests. The companies will close the deal following approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The two GE Capital subsidiaries, EFS Chisholm, LLC and EFS Prairie Rose LLC, will own the remaining 25 percent of their associated projects.
