Solar & wind energy projects approved to be built on public lands

Two solar and one wind power project were approved to be built on public lands by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management.

The 750 MW McCoy solar and the 150 MW Desert Harvest solar projects are located in California’s Riverside East Solar Energy Zone, while the 200 MW Searchlight Wind Energy Project will be built in Clark County, Nev. Including these projects, Interior has approved 37 renewable energy projects, including 20 utility-scale solar, eight wind farms and nine geothermal plants.
