Wisconsin wind power project plans rejected

The Wisconsin Public Service Commission recently rejected a plan to build a new wind farm in St. Croix County, Wisc. based on concerns of the noise produced by the turbines.

Emerging Energies had proposed the 102.5 MW wind farm, which would have used 41 turbines and cost around $250 million. Emerging Energies is able to file a new application for the project after the company produces a new noise study.
